Being an industry leader in electrical construction allows us to give back to our community. Sasco is a proud sponsor of the Greater Vancouver Foodbank, BC Children’s Hospital and Family Services. We also give back to local sports teams, events and community outreach programs.
Sasco Contractors is one of British Columbia’s largest and fastest growing contractors. We have 3 locations; Burnaby, Kamloops and Vancouver Island. We handle some of the largest projects in the lower mainland and routinely maintain commercial buildings.
We also work in the residential space as we offer full-scale system upgrades, such as fire alarm systems. We work alongside strata councils, construction crews, developers and City Hall to guarantee your systems are implemented flawlessly.
Sasco provides students enrolled in the ACE-IT (Accelerated Credit Enrollment in Industry Training) program with 120 hours of on-the-job work experience. Sasco’s electricians act as on-the-job teachers and mentors to Burnaby school district high school students to help them meet the requirements of the apprenticeship training program.
Sasco supports the Greater Vancouver Food Bank through a number of initiatives, including company-matched fundraising and food donations by Sasco employees. We are proud to support this great organization who relies on volunteers and who provides food for so many children (41% of recipients are children).
For several years, we have had a representative serve on the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation charity volunteer committee. Sasco employees are encouraged to support the Jeans Day event and many attend just to help out and ensure the day goes off without a hitch.
In addition to supporting great causes throughout the province, Sasco is determined to make a difference in the communities we work in with the initiative we call Sasco Shares. Employees are encouraged to donate one hour of pay per year which will be matched by Sasco. The money is then collected and used to make a difference within the community, whether it is for those in need or for a family going through a rough time.
Sasco Safety is always a priority. We belong to numerous safety organizations and have countless certifications to guarantee our safety measures are up-to-date and communicated.
Our safety measures extend past typical industry standards as safety is a crucial aspect in our general business practices. Our modern fleet of vehicles is frequently inspected and maintained, we only purchase the highest quality equipment and our specialized technology ensures that emergency systems remain operational, even during full-scale upgrades.
