For diligence and thoroughness in ensuring a system change-over went smoothly and most importantly safely.
The SASCO Vancouver Island division has hit the ground running during their first full year of operation. The team has fully moved into their new home located at 101-2785 Leigh Rd in Langford and everyone is thoroughly enjoying the new space. Our Island presence has been receiving a great response from clients in the community and with the location being extremely visible to a large amount of traffic in the area. We have been getting on the map here fairly quickly. There is no doubt that the Vancouver Island construction market knows SASCO has arrived. A BIG kudos goes out to the field teams that have successfully completed many projects around the South Island with outstanding quality, safety and professionalism. These projects include fire alarm upgrades, lighting upgrades, data installs, tenant improvements, and even a seismic upgrade with a new commercial building for UVIC. A special thanks goes out to Project Manager, Tom Takacs, for his dedicated support in getting the service division off the ground while helping estimate projects and still working hard in the field.
Jason was nominated for his work at Iberdrola and the Merritt Hospital. Great work on keeping safety at the top of the priority list Jason!
It has been a busy few months down at Sasco headquarters where we are currently in the midst of construction and are expanding our office space. As we have grown over the years, so has our office! We are very excited about this project.
The Reotech Construction crew has spent the last few months arriving early at our Sasco office to bring this project to life. They have been great at working during business hours while maintaining as little disruption as possible to our team and workplace. With walls being knocked down, multi-units being amalgamated into one, and drywall going up, it has been a busy few weeks watching our office transform into our perfect home away from home. The new space will include an employee lounge area, expanded boardroom, additional offices, additional desk seating and twice the warehouse space.
We would like to thank the staff for being so patient and fantastic during these last few months of construction. They have all adopted great humour (and ear plugs) during this time and have been very supportive of the build. Thanks for still smiling and for cheering on the workers as they continue to work hard to complete our new office. We can’t wait!
Clayton has earned this title by displaying his excellent use of pictures in his inspections (and now selfies). From Clayton himself, “Very much appreciated. And of course to my crews! Lots of hard work and attention to being safe from all!”
Wesgroup Properties have been awarded to lead the development of an exciting new project geared at improving community health services in the West End as Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) announced their plans to move forward with opening a new City Centre Community Health Access Centre at 1128 Hornby Street in early 2018. Sasco Contractors is proud to be part of this exciting new project by providing electrical and communication contracting services to this new multi-level CHAC which will include the full range of services that a person would need for ongoing care. The centre will have 5 levels of health services which will include separate reception areas, wheelchair access, areas for outpatient IV and wound care clinics, expanded room to offer group programming and space designed for family-centered programs.
The project is fully underway with our team onsite, working hard in bringing this project to life with Wesgroup Properties. With a completion geared for the not so distant future, we cannot wait to see the launch of the new City Centre Community Health Access Centre and to be part of a project that helps service the people of the community.
